AbstractAn improved evaporation pan assembly having at least three float assemblies attached to the outer side wall of a circular shaped evaporation pan located in 120 degrees increments. An anchor assembly is included having a steel pole driven into the bed sediment. An open ring guide or a hollow, open-ended tube is attached to one of the three float assemblies and is intended to slip over the driven pole extending out of the water. Using this design, the floating evaporation pan may move freely around the anchor assembly due to wind, changes in stage, currents, etc., but still will maintain the pan in a level position upon the water body surface. | InventorsAssigneeApplicationNo. 11122202 filed on 05/04/2005US Classes:73/290R, LIQUID LEVEL OR DEPTH GAUGE159/47.1, PROCESSES73/19.03, By vibration239/2.1, Of weather control or modification73/311, Multiple floats73/49.2, Receptacle73/296, Weighing type73/40LeakageField of Search73/290R, LIQUID LEVEL OR DEPTH GAUGE73/291, With other measuring device73/311, Multiple floats73/40LeakageExaminersPrimary: Williams, HezronAssistant: Fitzgerald, John Attorney, Agent or FirmUS Patent References3282327, 3987677, Method and apparatus for underground deposit detection in water covered areasIssued on: 10/26/1976 Inventor: Alter4470544, Method of and means for weather modification Issued on: 09/11/1984 Inventor: Bronicki , et al.5551290, Leak detector Issued on: 09/03/1996 Inventor: Spiegel5734096Swimming pool leak detecting device Issued on: 03/31/1998 Inventor: McGuigan, et al.
