In accordance with an operational expression of the input value of the diameter and a length of an outer circumference of the input configuration, a length of a label to be wound around an outer circumference of the label-affix object is calculated. Feeding a tape by the length from a tape cassette, a printing is performed to the tape so that respective characters of a string of characters or symbols such as a name separately input are evenly arranged in the determined length. Therefore, in accordance with the outer circumference of the label-affix object, the length of the label can be automatically set up for the printing.
