A system for preparing the compound document has tables which holds correspondence relationships between the function and command names, argument names and argument values determined for the respective application programs for calling the function. When receiving a command for editing a parent document, the system generates a command to the embedded child document on the basis of the correspondence relationships and also executes the received command even over the other embedded document.Other References
