AbstractA method for the therapeutic treatment of diseased cells in a patient is disclosed. An electromagnetic field is generated and the patient exposed to the electromagnetic field. The electromagnetic field may be a pulsed electromagnetic field and may be used for the treatment of a patient having AIDS. The method may also comprise exposing the patient to an electromagnetic field having frequencies in a visible spectrum in combination with an electromagnetic field having frequencies not in the visible spectrum, such as may be useful to treat a variety of conditions. | InventorsApplicationNo. 139283 filed on 08/24/1998US Classes:607/88, Light application600/14, Pulsating field607/1LIGHT, THERMAL, AND ELECTRICAL APPLICATIONField of Search600/10, Radio frequency wave induced magnetic field for subcutaneous hyperthermia600/11, Probes600/13, Electromagnetic coil600/14, Pulsating field607/88, Light application607/89, Laser application607/100, Electromagnetic radiation (e.g., infrared)607/103, Electromagnetic induction607/1, LIGHT, THERMAL, AND ELECTRICAL APPLICATION607/69, With two oscillating signal components607/70, With two pulse signal components607/71, With one pulse and one oscillating signal component361/230, ELECTRIC CHARGE GENERATING OR CONDUCTING MEANS (E.G., CHARGING OF GASES)361/232, For application to living beings313/153, WITH MAGNETIC DEVICE313/154For generating plural fieldsExaminersPrimary: Dvorak, Linda C.
