AbstractA casino game, based on the rules of poker, wherein each player is dealt five cards, with an option to utilize a sixth card to improve the five-card hand. The game provides a player with three opportunities to win: 1) head-to-head competition against the dealer, with the higher poker hand winning; 2) competition for a common pot among the players, the amount of the pot increasing until a player has a hand of three-of-a-kind or better; and 3) bonus payments for long-odds hands (e.g., straight or better). Because no player has an opportunity to increase his/her wager during play, the game proceeds rapidly. | InventorApplicationNo. 193169 filed on 11/16/1998US Classes:273/274, Betting or wagering board (e.g., casino)273/292CARD OR TILE GAMES, CARDS OR TILES THEREFORField of Search273/274, Betting or wagering board (e.g., casino)273/292CARD OR TILE GAMES, CARDS OR TILES THEREFORExaminersPrimary: Pierce, William M.Attorney, Agent or FirmUS Patent References5042818, Multi-deck poker gameIssued on: 08/27/1991 Inventor: Weingardt5320356, Method of playing fast action blackjack Issued on: 06/14/1994 Inventor: Cauda5431408, Card game with travelling wild card Issued on: 07/11/1995 Inventor: Adams5544832, Brake device for use in a fishing reel Issued on: 08/13/1996 Inventor: Okamoto5626341Methods of progressive jackpot gaming Issued on: 05/06/1997 Inventor: Jones, et al.
