AbstractA vehicle having a scanning system for zero contact scanning of one or several mutually spaced road areas and having an analyzing system connected behind the scanning system. The analyzing unit is equipped for determining the roll-over angle, the roll-over moment, the vehicle load condition and/or the road condition via measured data detected and supplied by the scanning system. The resulting data is particularly suitable for the early determination of dangerous influences on the driving dynamics of a vehicle. | InventorsAssigneeApplicationNo. 087983 filed on 06/01/1998US Classes:340/440, Tilt, imbalance, or overload280/5.51, Steering element responsive (e.g., steering angle, steering rate)280/5.512, Including suspension stiffness for ride comfort (e.g., damping coefficient, spring rate)340/429Responsive to inertia, vibration, or tiltField of Search340/435, Of relative distance from an obstacle340/436, Of collision or contact with external object340/429, Responsive to inertia, vibration, or tilt340/440, Tilt, imbalance, or overload340/903, Relative distence between vehicles (e.g., collision alert)340/905, Highway information (e.g., weather, speed limits, etc.)340/936, Speed and overspeed340/937, With camera340/938, Compensation for vehicle remaining at sensor position340/939, Environmental or drift compensation340/942, Photoelectric340/943, Sonic or ultrasonic340/425.5, LAND VEHICLE ALARMS OR INDICATORS362/466, Computer controlled362/467, Electromagnetically, electrodynamically, or electronically actuated362/475, Headlight280/5.506, Controlling lateral vehicle attitude (e.g., antiroll, antisway)280/5.51, Steering element responsive (e.g., steering angle, steering rate)280/5.512Including suspension stiffness for ride comfort (e.g., damping coefficient, spring rate)ExaminersPrimary: Hofsass, JefferyAssistant: Trieu, Van T.
