AbstractA tie storage system for convenient storage and retrieval of neck ties, and similar articles, is constructed with a center sheet of flexible plastic having a plurality of tongues on its left and right edges. Front and rear pocket sheets of flexible, clear plastic are attached to opposite sides of the center sheets at a plurality of seams defining a plurality of front and rear pockets created by the clear sheet material between the seams. The pockets are open at both ends and each pocket is aligned with a tongue. A neck tie is stored in a pocket by folding it about one end of the tie board and inserting the tie and board into a pocket with the inserted edge of the board being the edge about which the tie is folded. The tie is retrieved by pushing the board from one end to get it partially out of the pocket at the other end by extracting the board and tie from the pocket by grasping and pulling them. | InventorApplicationNo. 619098 filed on 03/20/1996US Classes:223/85, GARMENT HANGERS223/84Form retainersField of Search223/98, Covers223/84, Form retainers223/87, Sheet material223/85, GARMENT HANGERS211/113, Suspended type211/118, Knockdown or foldable211/60.1, Article includes elongated portion211/70.6, Tool224/904, TOOL HOLDER CARRIED BY BELT224/223, Plural receiver pockets formed by strip attached to backing at spaced points224/251, Article held in ring or tube206/292, Article retainer or positioner206/294, Aperture206/296, Member enters opening in retained article206/298, Bar, rod or tube383/38, COMPARTMENTED383/39Compartment-forming member secured to backingExaminersPrimary: Mohanty, BibhuAttorney, Agent or FirmUS Patent ReferencesD168545, D197146, D254644, D259164, D339979, 1526122, 2488973, 3762570, 3783995, 3790045, 3945500, Necktie hangerIssued on: 03/23/1976 Inventor: Meckstroth3967766, Tie attachment for coat hanger Issued on: 07/06/1976 Inventor: Hart3993205, Pre-tied necktie hanger Issued on: 11/23/1976 Inventor: Pilchard4059191, Tie rack Issued on: 11/22/1977 Inventor: Chaisson4368823, Hanging necktie holder Issued on: 01/18/1983 Inventor: Beckwith4474316, Tie hanger Issued on: 10/02/1984 Inventor: Philibert4593813, Protective container for assembled printed circuit boards Issued on: 06/10/1986 Inventor: Powel4632285, Convertible necktie and belt hanger apparatus Issued on: 12/30/1986 Inventor: Dillingham4632286, Clothes hanger Issued on: 12/30/1986 Inventor: Koyama4632287, Accessory for garment hanger Issued on: 12/30/1986 Inventor: Bevelander4655375, Tie holder Issued on: 04/07/1987 Inventor: Pazeotopoulos4765467, Hanger for neckties and suspenders Issued on: 08/23/1988 Inventor: Kolton , et al.4863043, Rack for neckties, belts or other apparel Issued on: 09/05/1989 Inventor: Bowen4947987, Ready access hang-up storage and retrieval device for articles of wear Issued on: 08/14/1990 Inventor: Keenan5110019, Garment accessory hanger for ties or scarfs with plural openings and special hook Issued on: 05/05/1992 Inventor: Kolton, et al.5161720, Garment hanger for thin articles Issued on: 11/10/1992 Inventor: Kolton, et al.5190377, Bingo purse Issued on: 03/02/1993 Inventor: Kelly5209382Garment hanger for neckties with supporting rods and snap leaf clip Issued on: 05/11/1993 Inventor: Chang International ClassA47G 025/14 |
