The device is provided with at least four wheels which are parallel with each other. The pedal elements each interconnect two of the wheels and are fixed to the two interconnected wheels at points off-set from the centers of the two wheels. A shaft interconnects the centers of one of the wheels of each of the modules, thereby interconnecting the modules.
