Abstract

A method of treating cystitis comprising contacting the urinary bladder and associated structures in a mammal having cystitis with a solution containing hyaluronic acid having a average molecular weight of not less than 2×105 Daltons in a concentration effective to treat the cystitis. The solution may further contain an agent effective to treat the associated cause of the cystitis in a concentration effective to treat the associated cause of the cystitis.
