Described are the use of compounds of Formula (I), depicted below, as active principals for treating skin conditions, compositions containing these compounds, and methods of treating skin conditions using these compounds and compositions. ##STR1## wherein, R4 is (CR5 R6 --CR7 R8 --X1)n --CR9 R10 --C(=X2)X3 R11, with n being an integer from 1 to 18; R1, R2, R3, R5, R6, R7, R8, R9, R10 and R11 are independently, hydrogen or non-hydrogen substituents; and X, X1, X2, X3, Y and Z are independently, O, NH or S.
