AbstractThe present invention provides a machine for shuffling multiple decks of playing cards including a first vertically extending magazine for holding a stack of unshuffled playing cards, and second and third vertically extending magazines each for holding a stack of cards, the second and third magazines being horizontally spaced from and adjacent to the first magazine. A first card mover is at the top of the first magazine for moving cards from the top of the stack of cards in the first magazine to the second and third magazines to cut the stack of unshuffled playing cards into two unshuffled stacks. Second and third card movers are at the top of the second and third magazines, respectively, for randomly moving cards from the top of the stack of cards in the second and third magazines, respectively, back to the first magazine, thereby interleaving the cards to form a vertically registered stack of shuffled cards in the first magazine. | InventorsAssigneeApplicationNo. 504035 filed on 07/19/1995US Classes:273/149RCard shufflers and dealersField of Search273/149RCard shufflers and dealersExaminersPrimary: Layno, Benjamin H.Attorney, Agent or FirmUS Patent References2159958, 2676020, 2778644, 2790641, 4310160, Card shuffling deviceIssued on: 01/12/1982 Inventor: Willette , et al.4513969, Automatic card shuffler Issued on: 04/30/1985 Inventor: Samsel, Jr.4515367, Card shuffler having a random ejector Issued on: 05/07/1985 Inventor: Howard4586712, Automatic shuffling apparatus Issued on: 05/06/1986 Inventor: Lorber , et al.4770421, Card shuffler Issued on: 09/13/1988 Inventor: Hoffman4807884, Card shuffling device Issued on: 02/28/1989 Inventor: Breeding4832342, Computerized card shuffling machine Issued on: 05/23/1989 Inventor: Plevyak , et al.5000453, Method and apparatus for automatically shuffling and cutting cards and conveying shuffled cards to a card dispensing shoe while permitting the simultaneous performance of the card dispensing operation Issued on: 03/19/1991 Inventor: Stevens, et al.5261667, Random cut apparatus for card shuffling machine Issued on: 11/16/1993 Inventor: Breeding5275411, Pai gow poker machine Issued on: 01/04/1994 Inventor: Breeding5303921Jammed shuffle detector Issued on: 04/19/1994 Inventor: Breeding International ClassA63F 001/12 |
