The thus obtained novel soluble conductive polymer can be used in a display device. ##STR1## (wherein, X is oxygen atom or sulfur atom, R1 and R2 are independently selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, C2 -C10 alkyl, C2 -C10 alkenyl; or when one of R1 and R2 is phenyl, the other is hydrogen or C1 -C10 alkyl, n is an integer between 50~200).
