Audio frequency power amplifiers with actively damped filter
Patent 5606289 Issued on February 25, 1997. Estimated Expiration Date: June 7, 2015. Estimated Expiration Date is calculated based on simple USPTO term provisions. It does not account for terminal disclaimers, term adjustments, failure to pay maintenance fees, or other factors which might affect the term of a patent.
An inverter for an audio amplifier. The inverter comprises a current damped feedback loop for actively damping oscillations caused by an output inductor within the inverter. A forward compensator is provided to compensate for the frequency response of the actively damped filter. The resulting inverter generates an output voltage that tracks an input voltage thereof with improved frequency response within the frequency range of interest.
