Catalase is added to the 3-methyl-2-benzothiazolinonehydrazone reagent as a stabilizer and the reaction is carried out in the presence of ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid or an analogue thereof. The color developing reaction may be carried out in neutral or weak alkali conditions. A reagent is described which comprises a buffer, 3-methyl-2-benzothiazolinohydrazone, and catalase.Other References
