The discriminator is responsive to a selector input device which is used by an operator to select one computer of the plurality of computers which requires monitoring. The discriminator selectively connects the selected computer to the keyboard and the display. In one preferred embodiment, a monitoring device is disclosed having a storage drawer slidably mountable within the equipment rack, a display, pivotably connected to the storage drawer, a keyboard, removably mounted to the storage drawer, and a discriminator device for selecting one of the plurality of computers within the rack.
