AbstractA supplemental emission control device for a gasoline engine utilizes the vacuum suction of the venturi of the carburetor or the air intake manifold to draw ambient air through a filter sponge and a piston control chamber into the combustion chamber of a gasoline engine to mix with the fuel therein to form a uniform fuel mixture for a complete and efficient combustion. A regulating screw is provided to regulate the flow rate of the ambient air into the combustion chamber. | InventorApplicationNo. 057815 filed on 05/07/1993US Classes:123/587Oxidant controlled by intake manifold vacuumField of Search123/572, Crankcase vapor used with combustible mixture123/573, Vapor treated before mixing with combustible mixture (e.g., cooling)123/574, Specific control valve (e.g., PCV valve)123/587Oxidant controlled by intake manifold vacuumExaminersPrimary: Kamen, Noah P.Attorney, Agent or FirmUS Patent References2876757, 3463132, 4112892, Combustion control system for adding fluid above the butterfly valveIssued on: 09/12/1978 Inventor: Lindberg4370971, Apparatus for removing contaminants from crankcase emissions Issued on: 02/01/1983 Inventor: Bush4483309Fuel-air control device Issued on: 11/20/1984 Inventor: Norman , et al.
