International ClassB60P 001/34AbstractA vehicle having a suspension control system that is especially applicable to an aircargo transport loader which is adapted for storage in a cargo hold of an aircraft. The suspension control system utilizes sensors to monitor the clearance between the vehicle and an underlying or overlying surface such as the ramp leading into a cargo hold or the roof of the cargo hold. The sensors relay information concerning clearance to a central control where the necessary suspension adjustments are made to allow the vehicle to avoid a clearance problem once travel is continued after stopping for the suspension adjustment. The system allows for suspension adjustments to be made either automatically or manually. The invention also includes an under deck support system which allows for limited pitch, yaw, roll and side to side adjustments to be made to the deck with respect to the underlying base frame. The invention further includes a cab relocation system which features a hinged deck section which can be varied from a first position where it covers a deck cutout formed to receive the laterally adjustable operator's cab to a second position where the cutout is uncovered. In the first position, the hinged deck section is releasably locked to the cab for added stability and support.Field of SearchShiftable or removable conveyor unitElevatable type Having elevating load body LOAD SUPPORT HAS LINEAR VERTICAL MOVEMENT AND ADDITIONAL MOVEMENT FOR ALIGNING AND MOUNTING LOAD AT A SPECIFIC LOCATION Additional movement is rotational Laterally movable rigid platform type Means is confined to one of the vehicles Means comprises tiltable load-supporting portion Means comprises elevatable load-supporting portion traveling in path including vertical, rectilinear movement Load-engaging roller or rollerway With means for locking roller against rotation With separate means movable vertically between load supporting and retracted positions Shiftably or removably supported on vehicle Roller connected to support pivotally mounted on vehicle base Support pivotal about horizontal axis Vertically shiftable With means for preventing movement of load relative thereto Universally With worker support With driven means to move load relative to load-receiving portion With load-receiving portion, or significant section thereof, pivotable relative to horizontal Tiltable along a transverse axis Vertically movable support for whole body of user Adapted for imaging (e.g., X-ray, MRI) Lazy tongs Mechanically actuated FLUID PRESSURE HOISTING TRUCK Tilting load support Service station type Platform type Having means to adjust position of roll relative to load (i.e., vertically, horizontally, angularly, etc.) Entire conveyor pivots about horizontal and vertical axes Entire conveyor pivots about horizontal axis Power means for shifting conveyor Horizontally swingable conveyor Vertically swingable conveyor Fluid-actuated ram Passenger or cargo loading or discharging | |
