Abstract

Antiviral activity is exhibited by compounds having the formula ##STR1## and pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof wherein R1 is a pyrimidine base or an analog thereof and R2 and R3 are independently hydrogen, --PO3 H2 or ##STR2## wherein X7 is hydrogen, alkyl, substituted alkyl or aryl.
