A float member is slideably secured relative to the fishing line, and a depth signaling means is operatively connected to the float member. A stopping means is operatively connected to the fishing lie at a predetermined distance from the remote end to prevent the float member from sliding beyond the predetermined distance from the remote end of the fishing line. Thus, the stopping means effectively establishes a maximum depth to which the remote end may descend when the float member is afloat. The depth signaling means signals when the float member has slid the predetermined distance from the remote end of the fishing line, and hence, when the remote end has descended to the predetermined maximum depth. | |
