Abstract

There are here provided a novel tetraphenylthiophene derivative represented by the general formula ##STR1## wherein AM is a tertiary amino group, each of l, m and n is the integer 0 or 1 and lࣙmࣙn are useful as the charge-transporting material in an electrophotographic photoreceptor having an electrically conductive base and a photosensitive layer thereon containing a charge-transporting material and a charge-generating material, which preferably is an azo compound.
