Abstract

A method of treating anxiety-related disorders comprising administering to a human in need of such treatment an amount of the compound (1S-cis)-4-(3,4-dichlorophenyl)-1,2,3,4-tetrahydro-N-methyl-1-naphthalenam ine also known by the generic name sertraline, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, effective in preventing or alleviating anxiety and the symptoms associated with anxiety-related disorders.
