Method and apparatus for monitoring and diagnosing hypertension and congestive heart failure
Patent 4899758 Issued on February 13, 1990. Estimated Expiration Date: August 2, 2008. Estimated Expiration Date is calculated based on simple USPTO term provisions. It does not account for terminal disclaimers, term adjustments, failure to pay maintenance fees, or other factors which might affect the term of a patent.
Apparatus and method for monitoring and diagnosing CHF and hypertension includes digitizing brachial artery pulses and determining C2 from modified Windkessel model. CHF and hypertension are monitored and diagnosed by tracking C2 values and testing values against a disease discriminating threshold of 0.08 ml/mm Hg.
