Abstract

A pyrroline derivative represented by the formula: ##STR1## wherein R1 and R2 each independently stand for an alkyl (C1-6), allyl, alkoxy (C1-6) ethyl, allyloxyethyl, phenoxyethyl, phenylalkyl (C1-3), alkoxy (C1-6) carbonylalkyl (C1-3) or phenoxyethoxycarbonylalkyl (C2-3) group and R3 stands for a hydrogen atom or R3 ', wherein R3 ' stands for an alkyl (C1-6), allyl, benzyl, chlorobenzyl, nitrobenzyl, phenethyl, alkoxy (C1-6) carbonylalkyl (C1-3), phenoxyethoxycarbonylalkyl (C2-3) or cyanoalkyl (C1-2) group, a process for producing a pyrroline derivative represented by the formula (I) and methods for dyeing a hydrophobic fiber and coloring a synthetic resin with the same.
