Abstract

A composition useful for administering Vitamin C to a subject comprises a compound having Vitamin C activity and at least one compound selected from the class consisting of the aldono-lactones and edible salts of L-threonic, L-xylonic and L-lyxonic acids.High Vitamin C levels in the human body are established by orally administering to a human subject an effective amount of this composition.
