AbstractA stereo tactic frame for use with fluoroscopy is utilized to aim and guide a puncturing tool to a target located within a body. An aperture within the frame is positioned to overlie the target when viewed on a fluoroscopic image display. The frame is then rotated about two axes so that the aperture plane is made perpendicular to the beam passing through the aperture, wherein the center of the aperture is made to align with the target object. | InventorApplicationNo. 06/934116 filed on 11/24/1986US Classes:606/130, Stereotaxic device378/162, AUXILIARY DATA ACQUISITION OR RECORDING5/617, Upper body portions of user supported by adjustable section606/185Puncturing or piercingExaminersPrimary: Truluck, Dalton L.Assistant: Whelton, Denise Attorney, Agent or FirmUS Patent References1370640, 2526988, 2711738, 3669118, 4467791, Surgical retractor holderIssued on: 08/28/1984 Inventor: Cabrera , et al.4485815, Device and method for fluoroscope-monitored percutaneous puncture treatment Issued on: 12/04/1984 Inventor: Amplatz , et al.4527569Device for guiding a surgical needle into a blood vessel Issued on: 07/09/1985 Inventor: Kolb International ClassesA61B 17/34 (20060101)A61B 19/00 (20060101) |
