The air vent comprises a member which is provided with a rearwardly extending projection adapted to space the air vent from the wearer of the rainwear to permit the flow of air therethrough. A through opening is provided in the member and a forwardly projecting cover is similarly provided on the other side of the member which covers the opening to prevent the entry of rain therein.
