The amount of material removed by a burst of shots varies in the course of the operating procedure so that the frequency of the resonator is adjusted towards the desired frequency by successive approximations. After each burst of shots, the frequency of the resonator is compared to a provisional limit frequency. The amount of material removed in the following line and the provisional limit frequency are changed or left unaltered, depending on the result of the comparison. | |
