AbstractA method of improving the arteriosclerotic condition in an animal having arteriosclerosis or having a high risk of developing arteriosclerosis, which method comprises administering an effective amount of a serotonin regulating agent, to inhibit the biological activity of serotonin within the blood vessels, thereby inhibiting the proliferation of smooth muscle cells, which has been found to cause or contribute to an arteriosclerotic condition.Other References
