Abstract

A hemostasis valve comprising a body having a central passage, a seal having a central aperature therein, the seal being mounted in the central passage, and a diaphragm having a wall member with a slit therein, the diaphragm being mounted in the central passage, the diaphragm wall member having an inner bottom diaphragm surface, and an outer bottom diaphragm surface, the slit extending from the inner bottom diaphragm surface to the outer bottom diaphragm surface, the wall member having a diaphragm chamber therewithin.
