The wall can be shifted forward and backward at right angles to its plane by at least the thickness of one glass pane with its spacer frame attached thereto, transversely to the conveying direction of the glass panes. A beam liftable and lowerable underneath the wall carries lifting lugs and guide rollers engaging between the conveying rollers.
