Abstract

A liposome medicament delivery system wherein the medicament is encapsulated in a liposome comprising an aliphatic liquid-sterol-water lamellae. The lipid may be a sodium or potassium salt of a C4 to C18 fatty acid, and the sterol may be cholesterol.
