Abstract

New 7-dialkylamino-1-substituted-6-halogeno-4-oxo-1,4-dihydroquinoline-3 carboxylic acids of the formula: ##STR1## wherein the R1 substituent is methyl, ethyl, vinyl or allyl and non-toxic pharmaceutically acceptable acid addition salts thereof. These compounds are useful as antibacterial agents. Also disclosed are processes for preparing the compounds.
