This forms a two phase condensate of the quench hydrocarbon and pyrolytic oil. The phases are separated, the pyrolytic oil recovered and the hydrocarbon recycled as the quench. The resultant gas stream is then treated for removal of hydrogen chloride from the gas stream for disposal or recovery of hydrochloric acid. | |
