The hollow panel divides into two parallel spaced apart hollow panels which taper downwardly and rearwardly from the tubular seat column to define at the end thereof a support for the rear wheel axle of the bicycle. The hollow panels are each formed from two curved walls joined together along inturned edges with each wall comprised of a lightweight lamination. A seat is vertically adjustable within the tubular seat column and a piston within the tubular seat column is operably connected to the seat so that upon loosening of the seat, reciprocation of the seat and piston will pump air under pressure outwardly through a hose connected at the bottom of the column and detachably secured to the underside of the hollow panel which constitutes the frame. | |
