For this purpose there is provided a noise screen connected to at least one surface of the rail wheel in a force transmitting, yet removable manner. The noise screen comprises vibration damping reed members. This screen prevents noise generated by the wheel proper from radiating outwardly and it also acts as a noise absorber for the impact noise propagating in the wheel and other solid bodies.Other References
