The choice of clay is dependent on builder type, kaolinite clays being used in non-phosphate detergent compositions, while bentonite clays are used in phosphate-containing formulations. Incorporation of these clays gives homogeneous detergent slurries and superior properties of the resulting spray-dried detergent granules.Other References
