Abstract

Metal oxides of the formulawherein Q is barium or strontium, and M is yttrium, bismuth or a rare earth metal of atomic number 57 to 70, in which ruthenium has a valence of 5, and which have a perovskite-type crystal structure are highly useful as emission catalysts for NOx reduction and oxidation of CO.
