When the part of the anatomy to be x-rayed has been measured and that part listed on the intermediate disc has been positioned relative to the lower disc, the peak kilovoltage range will appear opposite the chart on the upper disc and values of time, electrical current and the product thereof for various kilovoltages can be read therefrom for setting an x-ray machine.
