A nozzle plate has a central opening through which the metal is directed from the tundish to the disc means. An efficient annular nozzle means directs a cooling fluid around the disc means. The crucible has means for tilting it which keeps the molten metal entering the tundish properly as the metal is poured therefrom. | |
