Attorney, Agent or FirmAbstractThis invention relates to an apparatus for transferring a cryogenic fluid from one dewar to another and is characterized in that it provides a means for equalizing the temperatures in the liquid and vapor spaces of the supply dewar whereby the pressure in the dewar may be utilized for accurate control, either manual or automatic, of the amount of heat that must be added to the cryogenic liquid supplied to the receiving dewar for obtaining the desired receiving dewar pressure with minimum addition of heat to the supply dewar and no loss of cryogenic fluid through overboard vents during the transferring process. The apparatus has particular application as a ground servicing unit for filling liquid nitrogen dewars in aircraft. | |
