Hydrogen peroxide in the form of an aqueous solution with a concentration ranging from 35 to 100 percent and either concentrated sulphuric acid or fuming sulphuric acid are added simultaneously to a reaction vessel. The temperature of the reaction is maintained in the range -10°C to +80°C and the supply of the hydrogen peroxide and sulphuric acid to the reaction vessel is controlled so that the generation of the monoperoxysulphuric acid occurs when required and the quantity thereof produced is adjusted according to the quantity thereof required for reaction with another reactant, for example a pollutant, the concentration of the monoperoxysulphuric acid being substantially constant.Field of SearchProportionate feed meansDiverse sensing means Responsive to material level Discharge of treated material With mechanical agitator or movable separator WITH PRELIMINARY CHEMICAL MANUFACTURE Spaced along flow path With distinct reactor tank, trough or compartment Chemical holder in series with separator Vapor or gas removal | |
