...that one person who claimed to be the inventor of the television is Russian emigre Vladimir Zworykin? In 1929 David Sarnoff, founder of RCA, asked Zworykin what it would take to develop TV for commercial use. He said: a year and a half and $100,000. In reality, it took 20 years and $50 million! Before his death in 1982 at the age of 92, Zworykin said of his invention: "The technique is wonderful. It is beyond my expectations. But the programs! I would never let my children even come close to this thing."

| 5537860 | Fluid sensor including substantially linear flow resistor The volumetric flow rate of a fluid is determined essentially independently of the properties of the fluid by guiding the volumetric fluid flow to be measured through an essentially linear flow resistor. An alternating flow of the fluid is superimposed on... | 07/23/1996 |
| 4123941 | Ram pump flowmeter A mass-rate flowmeter of the recirculation type wherein the recirculating flow is created by a ram type centrifugal pump having a substantially constant volume flow discharge rate over the operating pressure range of said mass-rate flowmeter.... | 11/07/1978 |
| 4031758 | Mass flowmeter A pressure-difference type mass flowmeter with constant volumetric recirculation effected by a pump, with an annular flow path having four junctions each having a spur path. One pair of the alternate spur paths serve as inlet and outlet of the fluid flow ... | 06/28/1977 |
