Apparatus for measuring flow characteristics A flow detection device for detecting a flow characteristic of a fluid within a pipe is disclosed. The flow detection device includes a first channel portion that defines a first channel with an upstream aperture. The fluid can flow into the first channel through th... | 01/01/2008
Device for determining at least one parameter of a medium flowing in a line having diversion surface A device for determining at least one parameter of a medium flowing in a line, in particular for determining the air mass flow rate in the intake manifold of an internal combustion engine, which include a line component 3 and a sensor device 1 having a... | 12/11/2007
Sample collection system A system for collecting a representative, non-contaminated sample includes a sample intake positioned in a chosen location within a body of liquid. A first conduit section transfers a sample, which has been withdrawn from the body of liquid, from the sample intake t... | 08/09/2005
Air flow sensor with swirl generator An air flow sensor includes a duct forming a part of an intake passage, and a detection device. A swirl generating structure is also arranged in the duct to generate a swirl in the duct. A projection extending upstream from the opening at the upstream end... | 12/19/1995
Fluid mass flow meters A fluid mass flow meter comprises a swirl generator 16 followed by a convergent nozzle 20 which produce a strongly swirling flow with periodic pressure fluctuations. The flow is subjected to a Coriolis force in a divergent nozzle 26. The pressure fluctuat... | 10/17/1995
Apparatus and method for sampling ultra-pure chemical An ultra-pure chemical sampling apparatus has an elongated sampling tube which is lowered into the liquid to obtain samples of the chemical. The sampling tube extends the depth of the liquid and holes arranged along the tube provides for a representative ... | 08/24/1993
Device for measuring the flow rate of fluid in a duct Device for measuring the volumetric flow rate of a fluid flowing through a generally tubular body, wherein a swirling motion is imparted to the fluid by a precessing means, comprising a device producing a variable frequency signal depending on the precess... | 04/11/1978
Swirler for a fluid flowmeter and method of making same A swirler for a fluid flowmeter comprises a plurality of axially and circumferentially overlapping swirl blades within a flow conduit which impart a swirling motion to fluid passing therethrough. The swirler is constructed of a first element containing se... | 11/08/1977
Two-wire transmission system for vortex flowmeter A two-wire transmission system for a vortex-type flowmeter whose sensor generates a low-level a-c signal having a frequency that depends on flow rate, the signal being fed to the input of a pre-amplifier adjacent the meter. The two-wire system serves to s... | 04/05/1977
Vortex swirl flowmeter sensor circuit A vortex swirl flowmeter sensor circuit electrically connected to an electro-thermal sensor generates a voltage signal output from a flowmeter probe with the signal having a large signal to noise ratio. The sensor is electrically connected in a bridge net... | 12/07/1976
