Compressor with a hypotrochoidal design having a fluid delivery which is not solely dependent on a drive RPM A compressor with a hypotrochoidal design is constructed in such fashion that its delivery can be varied in ways other than by the drive rpm alone. A controlling edge of an inlet opening that determines the beginning of compression has a variable angular ... | 03/11/1997
Governor device Disclosed is a speed controller of the ball cone type having a unique conical head which serves as a face seal valve and further encloses seals and protects the governor against entry of particulate matter.... | 01/10/1989
Overspeed safety device In a pneumatically powered rotating grinding machine there is provided a safety unit (13) comprising a speed governor and an overspeed release mechanism the purpose of which is to ensure a predetermined maximum speed. For safety reasons, the motor speed m... | 04/24/1984
Secondary speed sensor for governed air grinders The present invention comprises a combined speed sensor and control valve for a rotary fluid motor such as a rotary vane air motor. Weights are pivotally attached to the opposite sides of the rotating output shaft of the air motor and are spring biased in... | 04/17/1984
Shut-off apparatus for pneumatic driven tools The improved shut-off apparatus for pneumatically driven tools includes an auxiliary shut-off valve located in the flow passageway. The valve is controlled by a control rod which extends through the air motor into engagement with a latching device. The la... | 12/29/1981
Overspeed control means for pneumatic tools An overspeed control means for pneumatic tools which includes a split ring valve slidably arranged in a circumferential groove formed in a cage member affixed to the rotor shaft of the tool. When the cage member exceeds a predetermined rotational speed, t... | 07/14/1981
Pneumatic tool governor A pneumatic tool governor having a body rotatable with the rotor of the tool, the body being provided with holes for passage of motive fluid to the motor of the tool, and a centrifugally responsive valve element pivotally mounted upon the governor body so... | 05/05/1981
