...that several people are credited with the invention of the flush toilet? Most people have heard of Thomas Crapper (1837-1910), the sanitary engineer who invented the valve-and-siphon arrangement that made the modern toilet possible. Another claimant to "the throne" was British inventor Alexander Cumming who patented a toilet in 1775. Then there's a nameless Minoan (a native of ancient Crete) who lived 4,000 years ago who supposedly was ahead of his time and created the first flush toilet!

Differential slope demodulator for low-IF frequencies A circuit and method for differential slope demodulator circuit are shown that utilize amplitude stabilizing of a frequency modulated signal to obtain an amplitude stabilized signal. Also shown is bandpass filtering of the amplitude stabilized signal for a first fre... | 07/29/2008
Modified Foster-Seeley frequency discriminator In a Foster-Seeley discriminator circuit having a discriminating resonance circuit, resonance circuits having series resonance characteristics are respectively connected between a signal source and both ends of the discriminating resonance circuit so as t... | 03/03/1981
Frequency discriminators An input signal comprising a carrier wave whose frequency may vary is applied to two complementary conductivity type transistors. Two resonant circuits, one tuned to a frequency slightly higher than and the other tuned to a frequency slightly lower than t... | 04/17/1979
Demodulator for PM or FM signals A demodulator for demodulating a phase modulated (PM) or frequency modulated (FM) signal into a baseband signal includes detector arrangement for converting said PM or FM signal into two outputs, means for summing the two outputs and means for modifying t... | 05/31/1977
