Concrete slab dowel system and method for making and using same A plurality of sleeve members for receiving and maintaining a dowel bar therewithin can be provided so that the dowel bar does not transmit substantial shear stresses to the concrete during the contraction and expansion of the concrete. The sleeve members can compri... | 10/28/2008
Dowel bar assembly with snap fit side frames An apparatus for combining adjacent concrete slabs including a dowel, an end cap, and a side frame. The end cap has a hood defining a curved channel extending at least partially around a dowel receiving end. The side frame has at least one wire received in the curve... | 07/29/2008
Concrete slab dowel system and method for making and using same A sleeve assembly system, a concrete dowel slab joint system, a method for maintaining adjacent sections of concrete in alignment during contraction and expansion of the concrete and for transferring shear stresses and bending moments across a joint formed between a... | 04/10/2007
Quick-connector for rebar to concrete dowels A quick-connector for terminal fastening of a penetrating rebar (7) to a perpendicularly oriented concrete dowel (2), the connector comprising a wire clip (1) having a deflected segment of wire of the length (L) at least partially made of resili... | 12/21/2004
Highway coupling apparatus and methods A highway coupling apparatus includes an expansion joint template, a plurality of rods, and a plurality of pipes. The template is positioned between longitudinal forms of a highway lane, creating two sections. After positioning the reinforcement bar in ea... | 11/09/1999
Doweled construction joint and method of forming same In the construction of a concrete surface formed by a plurality of slabs, sleeves are inserted into a slab while the concrete is still plastic. The slab is allowed to harden. Dowel bars are then inserted into the sleeves to provide load distribution among... | 10/07/1997
Assembly for bridging over expansion joints or bridges or the like The arrangement for covering over a gap in a roadway has bars running across the roadway. The bars are supported by transverse beams spanning the gap obliquely and which are supported at their ends in joint gap edge structures in such a way that the ends ... | 06/23/1987
Bridging system for expansion gaps The present invention provides a bridging system which serves to bridge expansion gaps, used in the roadbeds of major structures such as bridges or viaducts. The supporting portion of the system comprises bearers, the upper sides of which are level with t... | 01/28/1986
