Electro-optical system for correlating and integrating image data from frame-to-frame An electro-optical system which integrates the image pattern information, extracted from a plurality of image frames and identified as belonging to a common candidate object, to form a composite image pattern of the candidate object which may be accuratel... | 08/02/1983
Coded aperture imaging with self-supporting uniformly redundant arrays A self-supporting uniformly redundant array pattern for coded aperture imaging. The present invention utilizes holes which are an integer times smaller in each direction than holes in conventional URA patterns. A balance correlation function is generated ... | 06/21/1983
Coded aperture imaging with uniformly redundant arrays A system utilizing uniformly redundant arrays to image non-focusable radiation. The uniformly redundant array is used in conjunction with a balanced correlation technique to provide a system with no artifacts such that virtually limitless signal-to-noise ... | 11/23/1982
Coding and decoding artifact-free images of objects A method of coding and decoding of objects by means of a large number of point-like radiation sources which are subdivided into two groups. Two recordings are made of an image object. A first recorded image is made on a first recording medium with a first... | 03/30/1982
Multiple-invariant space-variant optical processing A multiple-invariant, space variant optical processor in which two functions described by any number of separate distortion parameters can be correlated with no loss in signal-to-noise ratio of the correlation. The unknown distortion parameters can also b... | 12/29/1981
Currency discriminator A currency discriminator for determining the denomination of a bank note or the like is disclosed. It includes a source of light directed at the note to be identified. A 2 mm×80 mm stripe is illuminated and the reflected light from the illuminated area i... | 09/08/1981
Coherent optical correlator Reference scenes stored in a filter set containing an array of sets of suimposed, holographic, matched filters are optically correlated with input images displayed on an optically-addressed, liquid crystal, light modulator 34. In operation, a selected la... | 07/07/1981
Apparatus and method for recognizing a pattern Apparatus and method are provided for recognizing a presented pattern such as a machine printed character. The apparatus includes a driving assembly for moving a character bearing medium into a scanning area. A pair of lamp sources illuminate the characte... | 03/31/1981
Digital video correlator A digital video correlator wherein a reference image and a live image are digitized and compared against each other in a shifting network to determine the correlation or degrees thereof existing between the two images. Fundamentally, the invention include... | 01/06/1981
Mosaic of coded aperture arrays The present invention pertains to a mosaic of coded aperture arrays which is capable of imaging off-axis sources with minimum detector size. Mosaics of the basic array pattern create a circular on periodic correlation of the object on a section of the pic... | 10/14/1980
Correlation techniques In a correlation system, such as may be used in an autolock follow arrangement, the correlation is effected on the basis of line integrals of data relating to pictures of substantially the same scene obtained at different times. The formation of line inte... | 08/14/1979
Optical image correlator tracking filter circuit A tracking filter circuit for use with optical image correlators is presented. The output signal of the optical image correlator exhibits a frequency content shift during operation due to the application of a ramp voltage to the nutation control circuitry... | 09/19/1978
