Multicolor printing method using rectangular dither matrices of different size, shape, and arrangement of threshold values to minimize overlap of differently colored inks at lower gradations The likelihood that differently colored inks will overlap is minimized in a multicolor printing system employing the dither method by using a different dither matrix for each color and arranging the lowest threshold valued cells of the dither matrices so ... | 02/28/1989
Method and apparatus for producing a picture For reproducing a picture with a density gradient through printing, an overlapped region is provided in a high density dot reproduction range and a low density dot reproduction range. The switch-over between the high density dot at the overlapped region i... | 02/23/1988
Method and apparatus for producing half-tone printing forms with rotated screens on the basis of randomly selected screen threshold values In a method and apparatus for producing half-tone printing forms with screens having arbitrary screen angles and screen width, screen dots are exposed on a recording medium by means of a recording element whose exposure beam is switched on and off by a co... | 10/13/1987
Thermal transfer color image forming apparatus with image color and image color density control functions A color and density mode control system for an image forming apparatus including an optical scanner and a color specifying unit for specifying the mode, i.e., colors that the apparatus is to use in making copies. Depending on the color mode selected, colo... | 05/26/1987
Picture signal processing system featuring simple or dithering binarization processing selected in response to local variations in picture density A picture signal processing circuit for use in a picture reproducing apparatus, wherein a picture to be copied is optically scanned by a line image sensor to provide picture signals for each of the plural picture elements of the picture. A detector circui... | 05/05/1987
Image sensing and processing apparatus and method Image sensing and processing apparatus in which the different colors of a subject are sensed to provide a high resolution electrical color separation signal and a low resolution electrical color separation signal. An enhanced high resolution electrical co... | 02/03/1987
Electronic image scanner and copier system with color matrix image enhancement Image sensing and processing apparatus for use in an image facsimile system in which a subject is sensed in its primary red, green and blue colors as well as its complementary cyan, magenta and yellow colors to provide full color correction or enhancement... | 02/03/1987
Image processing apparatus using multiple dither matrices An image processing apparatus comprises means for reading a text image to produce an image data and means for digitizing the image data. The digitizing means includes dither conversion means for dither-converting the image data and input means for inputti... | 12/02/1986
Multicolor ink jet recording apparatus having means for preventing blurring of ink An ink jet head prints an image by superposing individual dot matrices of at least two colors. A computing unit receives electrical input signals representing the image and generates and feeds corresponding electrical signals representing the individual m... | 06/17/1986
Document copying apparatus Copying apparatus includes a document reader for generating a series of electrical signals which are representative of imagewise information in an original document, a printer device, and electrical means for (1) transforming, (2) storing, (3) processing ... | 11/15/1977
