A fuel cell coupler includes a socket section (4) which has a socket body (32) set in a fuel cell and a valve mechanism disposed within the socket body, and to which a nozzle section (8) attached to a fuel cartridge is detachably connected. The socket section (4) is provided with a nozzle holding mechanism (43) which has a hook portion (44) protruded inward of the socket body (32) and can retract toward the outside of the socket body (32), and an elastic member (45) which applies a pressing force to the hook portion (4) to hold the nozzle section (8) and allows the hook portion (44) to retract.
