The bedframe support tube is totally new idea, as none others are currently on the market.

Claims

1. Richard F. Pender, and Kim S. Pender believe that we are the original and first inventors of the invention known as a "Bedframe Support Tube", designed to replace damaged support tubes found on angle-iron type bedframes for human repose.

[0003] A bedframe support tube designed to replace existing damaged support tubes on common angle-iron type bedframes.

[0004] The present invention is comprised of: (a) 3 in.×1-1/4 in.×1-1/4 in.×1/8 in.angel-iron (b) 43/4 in.×1/2 in i.d iron pipe.

[0005] Construction is achieved by centering the rolled pipe (see #1 on drawing) on an inside surface of the angle-iron (see #2 on drawing) at an angle of 90 degrees to the running-plane of the angle-iron and by simultaneously contacting the remaining angle-iron inside surface with the end of the pipe. Said pipe is then retracted vertically downward until a gap of 3/32 in. is attained between the end of the pipe and the inside surface of the angle-iron, (see #3 on drawing).

[0006] At this point of construction, a weldment is placed, one on each side, where the two components contact each other, (see #4 on drawing). Construction is now complete.

[0007] The finished bedframe support tube is used by inserting it's non-welded angle-iron flange between the horizontal element of the bedframe rail and of the boxspring being used. The existing wheel bushing and wheel are then transferred to the new support tube, (see #5 drawing)
